HOW TO JOIN A VIDEOCONF
Find your appointment at SCHEDULED APPOINTMENTS on the left hand menu, click SEE MORE to access the appointment details and start the video.
You can go back and forth to change the week/month.
Chat will always be available. To confirm you are getting started click START and then click CHAT to open and start the conversation.
When you click CHAT a new tab wil open.
You can type to chat and, to start the video session, click JOIN MEETING. Give access to mic and camera whenever you are asked for. You can also make use of the screen commands to adjust.
Scroll down to acces additional commands.
- Camera, mic, screen sharing are already there
- Full screen or additional features, click the “3 vertical points” and access the menu
If you want to access your Self Guru account menu (results, library, etc) , remember the Platform is still accessible in a separate tab in your browser.
JOINED THE VIDEOCONF, BUT CAMERA AND MIC ARE OFF
You need to give the Platform access to your mic and camera.
Click on the locker symbol beside the platform URL, select ALLOW beside the MIC and CAMERA items.
After that, if you still cannot make it work, click F5 to refresh the connection and your settings.
JOINED THE VIDEOCONF, BUT CANNOT SEE OR HEAR
Mute? Try conecting and disconecting your phones. Ask the Self Guru expert to do the same.
No image? Check your connection and browser: usually it happens when you are not using Chrome or you connection is not stable. As an option, if you acnnot use Chrome, try Mozilla/Firefox.
IMPORTANT: Check previous item (giving access to mic and camera).
Check if you are connected using Chrome. This browser provides better usability.
- Access https://plataforma.selfguru.com.br
- Check email and password – they are both case sensitive
- You can ask a new password on the login page.
WHERE DO I FIND MY NEXT APPOINTMENT?
Find your SCHEDULED APPOINTMENTS on the left side menu. Click SEE MORE to access the appointent and see details, join or send a message to the Self Guru expert.
You can move back and forth to see different weeks or months.
HOW DO I SEND MESSAGES AND FILES TO MY EXPERT?
EMAIL / MESSAGES
You can access any appointment (see previous item) at any time, even when it has already occurred or one you have not started yet.
Click CHAT to start a conversation. If you are offline, you will get an email. Same happens to your expert.
Access LIBRARY on the left side menu.
Click ADD, choose the file you want to send and click SEND. Your expert will receive a notification by email.
And everytime the expert sends you a file, you will also get a notifiction by email, and will find the file in your Library.
HOW DO I TEST MY CAMERA AND MIC? I USE THEM IN OTHER VIDEOCONF APPS BUT COULD NOT MAKE THEM WORK ON THE SELFGURU PLATFORM.
On the 1st access, allow mic and camera usage.
Click START to run the verification program .
If everythings is ok, it might be only permission routines. For securuty reasons, our integrated videoconf app requires specific authorization to access camera and mic.
As we recommend Google Chrome, please see below a step by step Google checking process to give access to them.
HOW DO I USE GOOGLE TO GIVE SELF GURU MIC AND CAMERA ACCESS.
- Access CHROME, click on the “3 vertical points” on the upper right corner and click Configuration.
- On the Config window, click PRIVACY AND SECURITY.
- Click on SITE CONFIG.
- Click SEE PERMISSIONS and find MIC and CAMERA. Open each one and find “Self Guru” on the site lists of approved sites. Attention: open all site options for Self Guru, they should be grouped, but need to be done one by one.
- When you access the platform again, please reset by clicking F5.
ACCESS THE PLATFORM
